Isolux Corsán was awarded its second highway in India, expansion of road NH6, Maharashtra Border-Haziran Port, and his operation for 19 years, for a value of 334 million euros, as the company reported.
It is also the fourth concession infrastructure project that the company presided by Luis Delso achieved in the last twelve months.
With this award, Isolux strengthens its activities in the Indian market, where it is the first Spanish company that manages the allocation of two highways, and has managed to qualify for pre-construction of half hundred more.
The highway to be expanded by Isolux has 133 miles and crosses the State of Gujarat. This highway connects the border between this state and Maharashtra, through Surat, the port of Haziran, one of the most important of the country, thus linking the west coast of India with the center of the country.
The project consists of expanding the road from two to four lanes in both directions, and is part of the third phase of the National Highways Development Plan (NHDP) of India.
The concession is in addition to another one which Isolux got in February 2008 for the expansion and operation for a period of fifteen years of the highway stretch between NH1 Panipat and Jarandar, 291 kilometers long, with an investment of 730 million euros .
Thus, Isolux Corsán has an investment amount of more than 1 billion euros in motorway concessions in India, a country which has the second largest road network in the world, with a total length of 3.3 million kilometers and remains open an investor for its improvement and extension by an estimated total amount of 30 billion euros.
The division of motorway concessions Corsán Isolux manages more than 1,400 kilometers of roads, with a planned investment volume of more than 3 billion euros.
